The business offers independent general and specialist exploration consulting services for mineral exploration worldwide specialising in geochemical consulting, data processing and interpretation, project evaluation, audit, management and synthesis in a wide range of regolith and geological environments.  Can undertake due diligence audits of exploration activities to assess project integrity and outcomes for investment, joint venture or relinquishment.

 

The business collaborates closely with a number of mineral industry geological, structural, geophysical and data processing specialists and academic and institute research groups. It can therefore offer a diversified range of services that will meet the needs of most exploration groups anywhere in the world.

 

These relationships provide comprehensive experience using the latest technology and developments in a wide range of geological and geographical settings and in a range of mineral commodities throughout Australia, the south west Pacific, Asia, Africa, North and South America. This includes exploration for gold, silver, base metals, uranium, tin, tungsten, platinum group elements and mineral sands.

 

The business and its associates have special expertise in field collection and interpretation of partial leach and multi-element geochemical data, in 3D modelling of IP geophysical data and geological structural analysis.  The associates have developed innovative new computer video-graphic methods for display of geophysical and drill hole geochemical data.

Neil Rutherford has some 30 years experience in mineral exploration and project management. He specialises in geochemical exploration and data processing and participates in research activities into new exploration strategies and geochemical methods.

 

Examples include the development of the REGOLEACH partial leach technique with the ALS-Chemex Group, environmental base line and field orientation studies in collaboration the University of New South Wales and exploration methods with the CSIRO in Australia.  He managed a major regional stream sediment program for the New South Wales government.  Currently supervising preparation of Geochemical Atlas of Cyprus with University of New South Wales and Andreas Demetriades Consulting Services.

 

He has extensive experience with all facets of geochemical sampling programs, with recent emphasis on partial leach techniques and has applied these techniques in a wide range of environments.  He has particular expertise in large regional programs and in exploration project data synthesis and evaluation. Specialist experience in uranium exploration.

 

 Offers custom on-site geochemical and geological workshops with UNSW to industry and government agencies.

Appointed Honorary Visiting Research Fellow, School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of New South Wales November 2005.  He has been a contributor to the University of New South Wales courses in Exploration Geochemical Data Processing.

 

Other activities include environmental chemistry and environmental impact assessment with studies in urban pollution and phosphorus in river catchments.
